Rev. Joel Hernandez

Rev. Joel Hernandez

NY Faith Advisor

Reverend Joel Hernandez is a native New Yorker from Brooklyn, NY, born to Puerto Rican parents. He is a conservative and is an advocate for the unborn. Reverend Joel Hernandez is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and the Lead Pastor at Full Gospel Church in Island Park, NY. He has faithfully served as pastor to a multicultural and multigenerational community of believers.

Pastor Joel Hernandez has also held several positions within various Churches he has served at, from musician to Bible teacher and Youth Pastor, where he served primarily at-risk youth. He believes that the strength of our nation is in teaching conservative values and Godly principles to our children and youth.

He also worked in Law Enforcement as a Correction Officer and ended his career at the rank of Captain. Having worked with some of New York City’s most notorious criminals, he understands what the lack of Godly and conservative values will do to a society. After his career in Law Enforcement, he went on to oversee a Property Management organization for low-income housing in the East Village of New York City, predominantly serving a primarily Hispanic demographic.

Pastor Joel loves spending time with his wife Lydia Hernandez, their adult children, and their two granddaughters. He is also a big New York Yankee fan.
