Alberto F. Villate is a Cuban-born C-Level IT Executive, and entrepreneur who is also an active community leader. His grandfather’s prominence in Cuban broadcasting, extending later to Argentina, sparked a lifelong interest in electronic technology that set him, from an early age, on a varied and nontraditional professional path spanning three continents.
The suffering his family experienced in communist Cuba, juxtaposed with the liberty achieved by fleeing to America, taught him to cherish with great appreciation the justice and valued freedoms our Constitution guarantees.
Alberto proudly served in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve for twelve years in gratitude for the refuge his adoptive nation provided, and to help support and protect those sacred rights for posterity. Freedom isn’t free.
“La familia” long understood that apathy and complacency were the real culprits in Cuba’s ruin. That message and its associated lessons are not lost on him. They continue to guide and drive Alberto to act.
It is at the core of his political, philosophical, and civic involvement.
Currently, he is the Secretary of the Yonkers Republican City Committee, Fifth Ward Co-Ward Leader, and Westchester County Republican Committee Member. In addition to the GOP, Mr. Villate is also very active in business and civic organizations. Working with government, numerous chambers of commerce, trades organizations, and CBOs over the years; he has devoted a great deal of time, leadership, and resources helping to expand the value and quantity of business opportunities. He uses the relationships, knowledge, and skills built along the way to advocate for laws, public policy, and practices aimed at improving our community’s “quality of life”.
Alberto looks forward to broadening those efforts through his new partnership with the New York Chapter of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, and the good work they will do together to advance, develop and maintain an active, strong, effective, and informed Republican constituency.
